Theatres to reopen in TN from November 10 with 50% occupancy



Entertainment industry has been one of the worst affected in the coronavirus pandemic. In Tamil Nadu, shootings were stopped and theatres were shut in March adhering to the lockdown. Though shooting has been permitted with precautionary measures and conditions, theaters remained shut till date in the state. However, much to the delight of movie buffs and theatre owners, Tamil Nadu government has now announced that cinema halls can function from November 10 with 50 per cent occupancy. Except in containment zones, announced by the government, theatres will be able to screen movies from November 10.

Several big films have been waiting for the theaters to open to release the films and some among them are Vijay starrer Master and Dhanush’s Jagame Thanthiram. While some of the actors had resorted to releasing their films on OTT, big productions houses and heroes have been waiting for the cinema halls to open to release their films.

This order is sure happy news for the scores of movie fans in Tamil Nadu and now they are eagerly awaiting the announcement of film’s releases so that they can celebrate the Deepavali , watching the movies of their favorite heroes .
